Biography
Beata Steć, Yoga & Meditation Teacher
Beata has 18 years of Yoga and Meditation Experience. Since April 2011 she has been teaching in India at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre and the Himalaya Shanti Ashram as well as conducting International Yoga Workshops sharing how to be fully aware and how to practice Asanas harmoniously. Since then she has been sharing her knowledge and experience on how Yoga and Meditation influence not only the Body & Mind, but also create a deeper, full of acceptance relationship with the Inner Self as well as all the Surrounding World.
From an early age she was deeply interested in Spirituality and Meditation. At the age of 18, she started self-studying the human body, mind and eastern philosophy of life – including Taoists teachings, Zen and Yoga – from any materials that were available for her at that time. She spent her school years most of the time doing sports like athletics and martial arts. This deep interest in the human body as well as the human consciousness initiated her first contact with Hatha Yoga in 2005, after that she continued her practice in traditional B.K.S. Iyengar style in Poland.
To deepen her experience of the universal wisdom of Spiritual Practice she went to India in 2009 for an extensive Yoga and Meditation at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre established in 1985 and their Yoga Monastery – Himalaya Shanti Ashram.
She co-conducted numerous teacher training and yoga therapy courses in India, taught intensive courses, yoga and meditation silent retreats as well as various international workshops of all levels.
In 2010 she went to China to Tai Chi / Chi Kung / Kung Fu School in Wudang Shan for an Intense Training to make a deep study of the connection between Chinese Martial Arts and the Hindu Yoga & Meditation Tradition.
Since 2011 she has studied Indian Classical Music vocal in Khayal style with Shrimati Sanyotji Mayekar and since 2013 Pakhawaj drumming with Shri Tukaramji Korgaonkar. In 2019 she went to Dhrupad Sansthan – original Guru Sheshya Paramparam Gurukul of Gundecha Family Gurujis and stepped onto the path of Naadyog as per Dhrupad – the Oldest Indian Classical Music Tradition stemming from Vedic times.
In 2013 she transformed her Meditation practice from Taoist Tradition into Vipassana Method as per the Teachings of S.N. Goenkaji.
During the years 2014-2017 she made paramedical study from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, covering subjects of: Anatomy and Physiology; Pathology; Diagnostics; Therapy, Comparative and In-depth Study of Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Naturopathy; Herbal Medicines; Diet and Nutrition; as well as the basics of: Medical Astrology, Tibetan Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Oriental Diagnosis, Massage Therapy, Acupressure, Reflexology, Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Cupping Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Aromatherapy, Aura Healing, Crystal Healing, Gem Therapy, Pyramid Healing, Electro Homeopathy, Magnet Therapy, Sound Therapy, Feng Shui, Iridology, Pranic Healing, and Spiritual Healing.
This paramedical knowledge perfected her practice and teaching as safe, effective and healing.
In 2019 she successfully completed the Ayush Level 3 (Yoga Master) Advanced Teacher Training Course expanding her understanding of the most important Yoga and Meditation Indian ancient scriptures starting from the Vedic times as well as broadening her knowledge about the traditional Hatha Yoga Practices and Kriyas. The Training was conducted at the very reputable and oldest registered Yoga school in the world – The Yoga Institute of late Shri Yogendraji – initially known as Yogananda who brought Yoga to the USA. In December 2020 Beata successfully passed the Ayush Level 3 (Master Teacher and Evaluator) exam from the Indian Government.
Each year spent in India was for her a very deep experience of awakening the innate body intelligence and raising the level of awareness by the focused self-introspection.
After the first pandemic, Beata returned by the end of August 2020 to Poland and presently teaches regular classes in Warsaw as well as intensive weekend workshops in Europe.
